How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We want to be crystal clear when it comes to managing your expectations; our website is stock managed to show you what items are available for same day dispatch and those which are externally warehoused and therefore, will take a little longer to arrive with you.
Simply make your product selections and a message will pop up telling you how long it will take us to dispatch your order; we call this our product availability message. If you are happy with the product availability message on the item, checkout your order and we will ship your order in the timeframe stated.
If you have lots of items in your basket, please use the longest product availability message to work out when your order will arrive. We care about our environmental impact, so we don't split ship orders unless you get in touch to request that we do so. We will let you know on your order confirmation when we expect your order will arrive with you.
Whilst we do our best to meet the handling times stated in the product availability message, occasionally we can experience some delays in the delivery network. At these times, a team member will email you to keep you updated on the progress of your order.
Selecting FedEx or DPD does not change our expected handling times; the service selected is always from the point of despatch not purchase.
If you do require an order urgently, please contact us before ordering to ensure we can accommodate your requirements as we hate to be party poopers!

Which couriers do you use?
Before choosing a courier, please make sure you are happy with the product availability message as these handling times apply before we ship your order. If it doesn’t show “Express warehouse: immediate despatch”, it will not leave us on the same day you have placed the order.
We use FedEx, DPD and Royal Mail for most of our deliveries. Some large items may come with other trusted 3rd party couriers.
Our Royal Mail economy service is usually delivered in two - three days. You will receive a text message and an email confirming the day of delivery; Royal Mail provide a four hour time window for delivery.
FedEx and DPD are delivered next working day from point of despatch for UK mainland addresses or in two working days for Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, and Irish addresses. You will receive a text message and an email confirming the day for delivery.
Selecting FedEx or DPD does not mean your order will bypass our handling times; FedEx and DPD are from the point of despatch, not the point of purchase.
If an item has an "Oversized goods must select FedEx" overlay on it, please ensure you select FedEx as your delivery option to avoid any delays with your order.

Returns on Riding Hats
We’re happy to accept returns on riding hats and helmets, provided they are returned in perfect, resaleable condition. Due to the safety-critical nature of these items, it’s essential they are handled and packaged correctly. We are quite strict on these terms and any deviation from this will result in your helmet being returned to you at your cost.
Please understand this is not a matter of being difficult; we are simply taking the necessary steps to confirm that all safety items are compliant and suitable for their intended use for all customers.
Please read carefully before sending your return:
-
Riding hats MUST NOT be returned in just a bag.
The helmet must be placed inside its original manufacturer’s box, and then enclosed within a sturdy outer box. This two-layer packaging is essential to protect the helmet from transit damage. Never return the helmet in just the manufacturers box as it will be instantly refused. Packing peanuts / protective packaging will have been enclosed with your delivery; please ensure the same packaging is enclosed in your return.
An example of how NOT to return your helmet:

-
-
Riding hats MUST NOT be returned in an insufficiently sized box.
The helmet must be placed inside its original manufacturer’s box, and then enclosed within a sturdy outer box large enough to ensure the helmet sustains no transit damage. This two-layer packaging is essential to protect the helmet from transit damage. Never return the helmet in just the manufacturers box as it will be instantly refused. Packing peanuts / protective packaging will have been enclosed with your delivery; please ensure the same packaging is enclosed in your return. Not all helmets are supplied in a manufacturer’s box. In these cases, please ensure the helmet is returned using the same packaging it was delivered in. If a helmet is returned without our original protective packaging, or in a box that is too small or unsuitable for the shape of the helmet, the return will be refused. This is because we’re unable to guarantee the safety or integrity of the helmet during transit.
-
Riding hats MUST NOT be returned in an insufficiently sized box.
-
Do not apply tape, labels, or postage directly to the riding hat or its branded box.
This makes the product unsuitable for resale and will incur a 15% repackaging fee, which is non-refundable. This fee covers the cost of replacing the branded box. -
Returns sent without protective outer packaging – will be refused and returned to you at your cost, as we cannot guarantee the safety or integrity of the helmet. If you do not pay the returns cost within 30 days, the helmet will be disposed of.
-
All returned hats must be unused, unworn, and in original condition, with all tags and packaging intact. Any signs of wear or damage will result in your return being refused.
If you’re unsure how to package your return safely, please get in touch – our team is happy to assist.
Safety Standard
Horse Riding Hat Safety Standards
Horse riding hats and helmets are crucial for protecting the rider's head in the event of a fall or handling injury. In the UK, riding hats must meet stringent safety standards to ensure adequate protection. Each discipline has its own requirements for safety standards required to compete but the most readily accepted safety standard for riding hats in the UK is PAS015:2011 with BSI Kitemark; if you are unsure, give our team a call and we can assist further. The most important factor when selecting a horse riding hat after ensuring it meets the correct safety standard is to ensure the fit is correct for your head shape.
PAS015:2011:
PAS015 is a British standard that sets out specifications for riding hats, including design, construction, and performance requirements. Hats compliant with PAS015 (2011) undergo rigorous testing to assess their ability to absorb impact and protect the rider's head from injury.
VG1:
VG1 is a European safety standard that covers various protective headgear, including riding hats. In the UK, riding hats must meet or exceed VG1 standards to be considered safe for use. VG1 certification ensures that the hat meets minimum safety requirements for impact absorption and structural integrity. VG1 will often be found in hats in conjunction with PAS015:2011 for many UK helmet manufacturers.
SNELL E2016 & E2021:
SNELL is an American safety standard which offers an improved crush resistance test of 1000N. SNELL can be found in conjunction with PAS015:2011 on some models of jockey skulls and is often selected for riders competing in cross country training or competition where there is a higher risk of rotational fall.
Body Protector Safety Requirements:
BETA Level 3 (2018)
In addition to wearing a properly certified and correctly fitted horse riding hat, riders should also consider using a body protector to reduce the risk of trauma to the body.
Body protectors are designed to absorb impact and reduce the risk of injury in the event of a fall or collision thus reducing the risk of bruising and rib fracture. BETA Level 3 (2018) is considered appropriate for general riding, competitions including eventing and working with horses. Most riding schools will require riders to wear a BETA Level 3 (2018) body protector for jumping activities and all establishments will require one is worn when riding cross country. Similarly to a riding hat, achieving the correct fit is essential for comfort and performance.
