Weymouth Bits & Bradoons

For use with a double bridle, Weymouth bits and bradoons work together as a set, helping the rider to achieve a higher level of engagement and collection. Legal in British Dressage from Elementary level, Weymouth bits are available in a choice of shank lengths:

  • 5cm shank length is generally used on more sensitive horses that back off the contact and are prone to working behind the vertical
  • 7cm shank length is average/most popular length
  • 9cm shank is used with stronger horses where further control is necessary
