Each 0.5-litre fill of chinball ink is sufficient to mark approximately 25–30 cows, providing an economical and dependable solution for heat detection throughout the breeding season.

How It Works

When a bull wearing the Shoof Chinball Harness mounts a cow that is in standing heat, pressure on the rotating stainless steel ball releases ink onto the cow’s back. The resulting coloured marking provides a clear visual indication that the cow has been mounted and is ready for breeding management decisions.
