Description
The Shires Single Jointed Bevel Bit is a loose ring beval which allows for a mild lever action through poll pressure, offering more control and encouraging the horse to work in an outline. The single jointed snaffle mouthpiece gives the rider more lateral control and applies pressure to the bars and tongue. Loose bit rings allow the mouthpiece to move inside the horse's mouth, preventing the horse from fixing or taking a hold. The bit ring size increases with the size of the mouthpiece, ensuring the bit is in proportion with the horse's head. Bevel bits are popular in the show ring with show ponies, giving a young rider more control without the severity of a harsher mouthpiece.
