The Shires Brass Alloy Universal With Lozenge is designed to combine poll pressure with leverage, ideal for situations where a little more control is needed. It gives a mild gag action and offers versatility for different situations. The lozenge mouthpiece is kind and when combined with the loose rings of the Universal cheek offers enough movement to prevent the horse from fixing and leaning against the contact. The brass alloy mouthpiece is designed from copper alloyed with a harder metal to produce a durable bit in a warmer metal than stainless steel. This mouthpiece material is also more palatable than stainless steel, aiding salivation to promote acceptance.
