Description
The Shires Brass Alloy Full Cheek with Lozenge has a mouthpiece made from copper which is alloyed with a harder metal to produce a bit which is durable, warm and palatable, aiding salivation to increase acceptance. The round central lozenge makes this bit kind and mild; the lozenge distributes pressure across the tongue and prevents the "nutcracker" action of single jointed bits. It also prevents the bit from interferring with the horse's palate. The full cheeks are designed to help aid steering and turning while ensuring the bit cannot be pulled through the horse's mouth. This bit is a good choice for young horses.
