The Neue Schule Turtle Top with Flex Balding is designed to offer control for strong horses which are likely to lean or snatch - the poll pressure from the rein aids will give the rider a better level of control while encouraging lift. The mouthpiece alignment with this bit remains unchanged regardless of your rein tension.
This innovative design suits the over-active, busy mouth that tends to chomp and chew on the bit - the Turtle Top with Flex mouthpiece is anatomically designed to give enhanced mouthpiece stability, gently curving over the tongue while staying securely central. This prevents sideways tongue evasions and re-focuses the inattentive mouth back onto the rein aids in order to achieve a soft, consistent contact.
The play from the loose ring prevents the horse from gaining any purchase on the mouthpiece, discouraging leaning.
