The Neue Schule Turtle Tactio with Flex Balding is designed to accommodate the larger or sensitive tongue, often negating the need to shut the mouth. This design is often sourced for strong horses when additional control is necessary and is useful for horses which are heavy in the hand, lean or snatch. The Balding cheek offers consistent poll pressure so a cushioned headpiece is advised.
