Express Daos Calor Type Gas Dehorner

The Express Daos Calor Type Gas Dehorner is a lightweight, portable gas dehorner designed for fast, efficient and humane horn bud removal in calves and other young livestock. Ideal for professional farmers and livestock keepers, it delivers reliable performance while remaining easy and comfortable to use.

Weighing just 290g, the ergonomic Daos handset is designed for easy handling and can be operated in a variety of working positions. An integrated support stand provides a safe place to rest the handset between uses.

Powered by a 500W heating element, the dehorner reaches operating temperature in less than three minutes. Once heated, it can dehorn in under 30 seconds per horn bud, helping to minimise handling time and improve efficiency during routine livestock management.

The heating tip reaches temperatures of approximately 500–700°C, depending on the gas pressure used, while gas consumption is approximately 34g/hour at 2 bar, providing dependable and economical performance.

A reversible brass heating tip with 17mm and 19mm internal diameters allows the dehorner to be adapted for different animals. The integrated locking mechanism makes changing between tip sizes quick and secure.

Designed with safety in mind, the Express Daos Gas Dehorner has no exposed flame, making it suitable for use in damp farm environments. The rapid heating process helps ensure quick and effective dehorning when used correctly in accordance with current animal welfare guidance.

Supplied complete with a 1.5 metre hose and 2 bar (29psi) regulator, the dehorner is ready for connection to a compatible gas supply.
