The Bucas Quilt 300g Stay-dry Rug is a high-performance stable rug designed to offer maximum warmth and comfort during the coldest months. Whether used on its own in the stable or layered beneath a Bucas turnout or another stable rug, this versatile piece delivers durability, insulation and moisture control in one practical design.
Made from strong 600D Oxford fabric, the outer layer is both durable and breathable, ensuring long-lasting wear and comfort. Inside, the Stay-dry lining features a fleece-like texture that quickly wicks moisture away from your horse’s skin, allowing it to be used even on a damp horse without the need to change rugs. This makes it an ideal choice for clipped horses or those that need fast-drying, insulating warmth.
The 300g Thermobonded insulation offers heavyweight protection for winter conditions, while shoulder darts ensure freedom of movement. The rug also includes a T-bar front closure with magnetic Snap-lock, cross surcingles, a fillet string, and attachment points for both leg straps and the matching Bucas Quilt Neck (sold separately). It can also be used in combination with Bucas turnout and stable rugs for added flexibility.
