The Bucas Zebra Fly Rug is made from lightweight, fine mesh fabric which is designed to block out even the smallest insects and prevent them causing irritation to the skin. The Full Neck design of this rug means that the entire body is protected from biting insects, therefore allowing your horse to live out in the field during the summer without discomfort. Silk feel material built into the shoulders helps to prevent rubbing when the horse moves and rolls. The secure fasten strapping featured on the neck and chest of the rug helps to ensure that the rug stays fastened and comfortable all day long. A built in tail flap also helps to keep flies away from the horses tail, and can offer a higher level of protection from bites.
The chest panel crosses over and features light padding to prevent the chest being rubbed and irritated when the item is worn for a long time. There are shoulder darts at each side to allow a wide range of movement and prevent your horse feeling restricted when playing in the field. A lightweight detachable belly pad helps to hold the rug in place even when the horse rolls, whilst offering extra protection to this sensitive area. There are also leg strap attachments to help keep the back of the rug in place and prevent sliding.
The Zebra stripe pattern has been proven to deter flies and prevent them from trying to bite the horse, with this in mind it's no wonder the bucas Zebra print rug is so popular! The Bucas Fly Mask is also available in Zebra Print, and will offer full face protection for your horse.
