The Bucas Buzz-Off Zebra Detachable Neck Rug combines high-performance insect protection with the added benefit of a scientifically backed Zebra stripe design. Made from a specially developed lightweight fine mesh fabric, this rug helps protect your horse from flies and biting insects while also offering excellent breathability and comfort.
Research has shown that flies are confused by the contrast of black and white stripes, making them less likely to land on your horse. The bold Zebra pattern not only stands out visually, but it also provides a natural deterrent to flying pests, especially in hot, humid weather.
This version features a detachable neck cover, giving you the flexibility to use it with or without full neck protection. The neck piece helps to guard the mane and upper neck from insects, and is held securely in place with an elasticated brow band, allowing your horse to graze comfortably without the rug shifting.
The Buzz-Off Zebra also includes a protective belly pad secured with surcingles, which covers the sensitive underbelly and helps keep the rug firmly in place. A large tail flap offers extra protection against flies around the tail area.
