The Tyrex range from Equi-Theme are an extensive range of affordable turnout rugs which meet the needs of every horse, whatever the weather.

Choose from a variety of colours, weights, neck designs, across either 1200D (1200 denier) or 600D (600 denier) rugs. Tyrex turnout rugs are fully waterproof and breathable with taped seams, and can be relied on to keep you horse dry, warm and protected from the elements. Each rug comes with a warranty (applies under normal use conditions) for your peace of mind, covering defects in impermeability (of the fabric or thermal bonding), in the stitching (binding, inside lining, leathers and chest straps) and in the buckles (quick-release clips and metal fasteners). Please note, this warranty does not cover damage caused by inappropriate washing, accidents, neglect or as a result of incorrect adjustment/sizing of the rug itself.

1200D Range

With a 2-year warranty

Tough, ripstop 1200D fabric gives these turnout rugs their hard-wearing quality and longevity. Choose from the standard Tyrex 1200D rugs, "Aisance" rugs with added comfort and features, or the "8000/8000" rugs with a high waterproof rating. With standard neck, high neck and combo designs ranging from no fill (0G) to keep dry during summer showers through to 450G heavyweight rugs designed for superior warmth through the depths of winter.

The Tyrex 1200D rug range offers a durable, protective turnout rug designed to survive life out in the field. The tough and durable fabric stands up to daily wear. This ripstop material prevents damage from spreading if the rug does rip, making it easier to repair. Equi-Theme have designed these rugs to be comfortable and offer great protection. A synthetic sheepskin wither pad inside the rug is soft on the sensitive wither area, preventing rubbing, sores and discomfort. The taped seams, very large waterproof tail flap and a range of neck options will keep your horse protected from cold and wet weather. Choose from standard neck, combo neck and high neck designs in the 1200D range. For bigger yards or for people with multiple horses, these rugs feature a size label on a rubber patch to the front, helping you to spot the right rug easily.

The Tyrex 1200D Aisance rug range adds further comfort features to the Tyrex 1200D rugs. The addition of shoulder gussets to this rug design promotes freedom of movement and can prove a good solution for rugging horses with a larger build. The quick-release clips combined with adjustable buckles offer some flexibility of fit, again useful for those with a wider chest or shoulders. This range is designed with the same durable, waterproof and breathable fabric as the Tyrex 1200D range, with ripstop material to limit any damage. They are available in standard neck, combo neck and high neck options, designed with taped seams and a very large waterproof tail flap for full protection.

One-up your weather protection. This is the Tyrex 1200D 8000/8000, a high-performance turnout rug that has been fully tested to offer a high level of waterproofness, giving you complete peace of mind that even in a downpour your horse will be dry, comfortable and protected. The fabric is also fully breathable, keeping your horse at an ambient temperature. This rug is waterproof tested to 8000mm/m². The very deep design without a back seam paired with thermo-bonded fibre insulation adds further protection from the elements and keeps your horse warm. The generous shoulder gussets offer fantastic freedom of movement and improved fit for horses with a wider build; the quick-clip front closure paired with buckle adjustment allows for a broader chest. The lining is anti-static and anti-chafe, improving the quality of your horse's coat. Available in standard neck (with matching neck cover) and high neck designs.

600D Range

With a 1-year warranty

Highly affordable for horses that aren't too hard on their rugs. This range is designed with ripstop 600D fabric which is waterproof and breathable, keeping your horse dry and at an ambient temperature in the field. The range of designs available includes standard neck (with matching neck cover), high neck and combo, from no fill (0G) for warm but wet days, to heavyweight 450G winter rugs built for the coldest of weather.

Affordable for any budget, the Tyrex 600D range of turnout rugs offer great everyday protection for your horse. They are waterproof and breathable with taped seams, designed from a ripstop 600 denier fabric, with a very large waterproof tail flap to further protect from the wind and rain. Sheepskin padding to the wither area offers increased comfort and protection. In the standard neck design, choose from either standard cross-over surcingles or a belly belt (with 3 belly straps) and pair with the matching neck cover. The Tyrex 600D rugs are also available in high neck and combo neck designs.
