Online for Equine offer a wide range of hoof treatments from brands such as Keratex and Funnell. When showing your horse, judges look at the horse's turnout in great detail. By using hoof grease or hoof polish on your horses hooves, you can create an even appearance and can disguise any discolouration to the hoof, a well turned out horse is always looked upon favourably by the judges. Owners of horses with black hooves often opt for black hoof oil whilst those with white hooves tend to opt for a clear hoof formulation. When it comes to regular hoof care, we recommend using a hoof moisturiser to keep the hoof horn healthy; please discuss your horse's requirements with your farrier to decide upon the best product suited to his hoof type. Our favourite product at the moment is the Keratex Hoof Hardener which is ideal for use on unshod horses that have become extremely sensitive in the sole; this unique formula helps to strengthen the hoof and is our favourite for the horses at home that are barefoot.
