Black Friday saddle pads

Choosing a saddle pad

Match the cut to your saddle. A GP square suits general purpose saddles, a dressage square has a longer, straighter cut for a dressage saddle, and a close contact or jump pad is shaped for a forward-cut jumping saddle. Half pads sit on top of the saddle pad to help absorb pressure and add grip, and pads with pockets and risers can help balance the saddle while your horse's shape changes.

A pad helps your horse stay comfortable but it isn't a fix for a saddle that doesn't fit. If your saddle is bridging, rocking or pinching, ask a qualified saddle fitter to check it before adding a corrective pad.
