New for Autumn 2018, the Equilibrium Close Contact Equi-Chaps have been carefully developed specifically for horses who are prone to mud fever. These chaps have been designed to be worn during turnout to keep the horse’s lower legs dry and free of mud.
Breathable, soft and comfortable, these close contact chaps are made from perforated neoprene with a four way stretch to fit like a second skin and prevent rubs. They can be worn on either the front or hind legs, secured with Velcro tabs and extending down over the heels. These chaps are easy to wash and quick to dry which is essential for horses that are turned out daily!
It's important for these chaps to fit the horse snugly so that mud doesn’t rise under the boots and cause irritation which could lead to mud fever. These chaps can be worn for up to 12 hours with minimum risk of rubbing.
As well as mud fever prevention, these chaps are also great for preventing mild brushing or overreach injuries. Though durable, they come with a 1 year guarantee in case of any damage.
