Horse Rug Size Guide

Comfort is key - make sure you're selecting the correct rug size

Measure your horse properly to check which rug size he needs. To do this, take a soft tape measure (and a helper!), popping one end at the centre of the chest and measuring along the body to the rear. Take the measurement in either inches or centimeters and use our chart below to convert to the rug size in feet.

Take into consideration the design features of the rug before you buy. Some brands design rugs specifically for cobs or thicker-set breeds for example with a more generous fit through the depth. If you have a wider-built horse such as a cob type or warmblood we would recommend choosing rugs designed with shoulder gussets to allow for increased freedom of movement.
