Footwear Size Guides
Buying footwear online is a real challenge, and can be a complete headache if you get it wrong.
We need our equestrian footwear to feel comfortable and fit us well, especially if we are planning to wear them all day, every day. Choosing the right size can be tricky, so we've put together these useful footwear size guides for our most popular styles to help you when buying your next pair of riding boots or yard boots. Use these size guides to ensure the foot size, calf width and height of boots will be the best fit for you. Can't find the size guide you need? Email us on help@onlineforequine.co.uk
How To Measure Yourself
This is a quick guide on how to measure your legs for long boots (riding boots and country boots). Our full guide can be found in our blog here..
What you will need:
- A soft measuring tape
- A piece of paper
- A chair (ideally a straight-backed dining chair)
- Someone to help - this will make the measurements most accurate
Step 1) Sit in the chair with your feet flat on the floor, knees at a 90º angle
Step 2) To measure for the calf width of your boot, measure around your calf at its widest point
Step 3) To measure for boot height, take the measurement from the floor to the back of your knee. Remember that leather boots will typically drop once broken in - add 1½ to your height measurement if you want your riding boots to fit tall.
Step 4) Match up your measurements to the size guide.
