Sprenger Sensogan 16mm KK Ultra Bradoon Snaffle Bit
The Sprenger Sensogan 16mm KK Ultra Bradoon Snaffle Bit is the ideal choice for enhanced communication for riders using doubles.
The Sprenger KK Ultra Loose Ring Bradoon Snaffle Bit is a loose ring snaffle which features a central lozenge also known as a bean. This central lozenge is set at 45 degrees forward which means that it sits comfortably and evenly on the tongue. As the bean sits evenly on the centre of the tongue, once contact is taken up, the bean takes advantage of the sensitivity of the tongue and applies pressure allowing for enhanced communication. The unique design prevents upper palate interference and ensures that the tongue does not become pinched or squeezed. This bradoon is an ideal choice if you know your horse goes well in a KK Ultra but you are moving into doubles and are looking for a thinner mouthpiece.
The Sprenger KK Ultra Loose Ring Bradoon Snaffle Bit takes advantage of the sensitivity of the tongue ensuring there is no risk of pinching. The mouthpiece is anatomically to follow the contours of the horses tongue and is designed to help promote consistency and reinaid clarity. The loose ring design is a smaller 55mm ring which is the perfect size for teaming with a Weymouth; this bit is ideal for preventing leaning on the bit and for teaching self-carriage. Available in a wide range of materials, sizes and thicknesses.
This offering is a 16mm thick bradoon, available in widths 3.75" - 5.75".
If you are unsure which Sprenger material to go for, you may find this useful:
Sensogan - The new and improved version of Aurigan made from copper, zinc and manganese. Sensogan utilises the favourable taste and salivation levels provided by Aurigan but builds on these for improved feel and acceptance. Sensogan is a revolutionary new material designed for maximum comfort and relaxation. The main difference offered by Sensogan is due to the unique combination of copper and manganese which results in a smoother and far more regulated oxidative process which has proven very appealing to the horse in field tests; particularly if you have a horse who over-plays with the bit. This revolutionary compound has resulted in less copper discharge helping the bit retain its white-gold colouration for longer. The huge success of Sensogan is also due to its manganese content; this micronutrient is extremely popular in the feeding regime of sports horses as tests have concluded that manganese aids in muscle and energy metabolism. Furthermore, feeding manganese has resulted in a reduction in tension in horses and we are finding that tense horses are far more relaxed in the mouth when ridden in Sensogan.
