Gumbits are amazing little balls which are ideal for horses who can be difficult with the bit, and are like candy for a horse's mouth. They activate salivation, encourage submission, help to eliminate teeth grinding and promotes chewing which in turn encourages relaxation. Once chewed, the Gum Bits form a gel like film over the teeth which prevents abrasion of the teeth.

Give a small handful, the equivalent of two teaspoons full, each time they are required. Feed them to your horse before tacking up; they will last about 45 minutes or more which is long enough to get through either a schooling session or a warm-up and test.

If your horse takes a dislike to Gumbits, break up a mint to add to the serving.
