Why go for a Charles Owen riding helmet with MIPS?

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a technology that's becoming increasingly popular in riding helmets. It's a safety system designed to provide extra protection against rotational forces, which can cause serious brain injuries in the event of an impact.

The MIPS system consists of a low-friction layer that sits inside the helmet, which allows the helmet to rotate slightly upon impact. This rotation helps to reduce the rotational forces that can cause brain injuries, which is especially important in equestrian sports where falls can be quite common.

MIPS technology is designed to work in conjunction with the existing safety features of a riding hat, such as a hard outer shell and an impact-absorbing liner. By adding the MIPS system, riders can enjoy an additional layer of protection against certain types of injuries.
