The Neue Schule Waterford Jumper? Bit is a strong horse bit which has an elevating effect. This bit is ideal for use during jumping where the rider needs to lift the horse and sit him on his hocks in order to make tight turns and powerful take offs. The bit is also perfect for improved directional control as the large cheek aids in steering and correctional aids, making it a firm favourite in cross country riders when they are setting up their horse for narrow arrow heads.
Unlike regular Waterford bits, Neue Schule have redesigned this jumping bit with lip rests to eradicate rubbing to the sensitive corners of the lips. As the 14mm mouthpiece bends in all directions, it prevents leaning and ensures the horse carries himself on the way in and out of a fence. The bit features four rein options including the use of pelham roundings and can also be used with a curb strap.
The bit is not dressage legal and is available with a 14mm mouthpiece, in a variety of widths.
