Details

The Dever 4 Ring Gag bit with a solid French link mouthpiece is the perfect horse bit for use in riders that require more control than that generated from a regular snaffle. Also known as a continental bit or bubble bit, this horse bit is often selected for use in horses that prove stronger during faster work. The lower that the rein is fitted to the cheek, the greater the poll action of this bit.

The clever design of the bit offers numerous rein choices meaning that the severity of poll action can be increased/decreased according to the level of training and requirements of the horse. Most riders choose to ride this bit with two reins so that the bit acts as a standard baucher snaffle until the second rein is applied. Online for Equine always recommend this bit is used as described to improve equine welfare and keep your horse responsive to your aids.

The solid mouthpiece with French link of this gag bit is well suited to horses that are sensitive in the mouth. The small double jointed French link allows movement in the mouth without pinching and is often selected in horses that tend to hollow in a jointed bit.

The Dever four ring gag horse bit is made of a stainless steel that is rustproof and has fantastic longevity. This horse bit is available in a variety of widths.
